BIOGRAPHY

Georgios Chryssos is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the German Foundation for Waste Batteries, Stiftung GRS Batterien. Since 2009, he has led national efforts to improve collection, recycling, and compliance within the battery sector, building strategic partnerships across Europe.

Georgios brings extensive experience in resource management, environmental protection, and industry collaboration. He helped establish EUCOBAT, the European network of compliance organisations for batteries, and continues to champion sustainable recycling solutions through leadership, innovations, and cross-sector engagement.
